I’m a software engineer living in Berkeley, California. I care about researching, solving, and teaching socially impactful engineering problems. I’m broadly interested in databases and distributed systems.

Currently, I am finishing my undergraduate degree in computer science and data science at UC Berkeley. Previously, I was a software engineer at Productiv and Amazon and a research assistant at RISELab.

I help run and develop for Blueprint, a student-run organization at UC Berkeley focused on creating full-stack applications for non-profit organizations. I’m also a TA for CS 186, Berkeley’s upper-division course on Databases.

Outside of tech, I love cooking, economics, history, hip-hop, and skateboarding. View my resumé or shoot me an email at micahtyong@gmail.com.
